I decided to close my Chase credit card after they more than doubled my interest rate, even though my account was current, normally had low balances and I paid on time.

In August, I called Chase and asked how much to pay off account. I used my bank's online service to get the payoff amount to Chase quickly. Less than a month later I received a bill for a finance charge on the closed account! When I called I was told that the payment was received during the next cycle, yet I paid off the account before the payment was due! 12841f6

Called to report a missing card and found out that my account was closed.

I got the same raw deal from Chase. Account was paid off, then somehow I was switched to paperless statements, then the new annual fee was assessed. Didn't know I owed anything! They refunded the annual fee and then closed the account. Every time I see a Chase commercial i cringe. Will never do business or recommend them again, period.

Chase is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I paid of my account days before it was due. I figured I was done with them, now I get a bill for $154.75 in "finance charges", how does this happen when it was paid in FULL? I am looking into class action suit as well. Unknown to me they raised my interest rate to 29.9%!!! They said one payment was $1.00 less than it should have been. I paid double my payment each and every month. They are bloodsuckers.

I'm not certain what's going on with these credit card companies. It seems Discover handed me the same deal regarding applied finance charges and late fee to a closed account. Apparently, according to Discover Card Representative, the best way to get an exact closure/payoff amount is to contact them directly and not rely on the online amount. They advised me that if you rely on the online amount (even though you submitted the payoff amount before the due date) there may be additional charges that linger into the next billing cycle.??

I paid off my Chase acct in Sep 09 even though I had not activated the new card they sent me around Feb 09. I decided to use the card in Oct for a car rental, so I called to activate my card. Chase said that they closed my acct. I was confused/stunned. The online site never sent any messages or changed the status of my acct online. They said they sent a letter, but I honestly never received it. I have no idea when my acct was closed, and I am waiting to find out when that was. If they did close my acct., how is it that a closed account can still accrue interest/finance charges? Does it matter if I closed the account or if they did?

Chase refused to refund the membership fee for United Mileage Plus VISA card, even their CRS told me several times I will recieve the refund...They lied to me, even if they denied it since there is no phone recording during the conversation.

The supervisor's name is Michael Davis. The phone number is 888-643-9628. Any suggestion how to fight back to get my money refunded?

In August I also received a late fee charge even though my payment was paid online. They posted payment on a Monday but stated payment was due Saturday. I called Chase and they would not *** the $39 late fee so I asked for my full balance to pay off and immediately paid it off and cancelled my credit card. A few weeks later I received a statement showing balance was paid but they charged me another $9.03 for FINANCE CHARGES even though balance was paid off before the stated due date. Not happy with CHASE and want everyone to know how they are also messing with the good payers! :( :upset
