I have read the reviews of Chase Card and I would like to say that first, I did not go over my credit limit, did not make a late payment, I have responsibly used this credit card and I have an excellent credit score even with the fraudulent behaviors of this company".
To begin with I received this credit card in 06/. I had another card for several years, but they offered me a card at a fixed rate?. I asked that cards were merged so that I did not lose my credit history". They promptly closed my first credit card and opened the second card in direct violations of my wishes!. Countless calls and email did not correct this|. After a year they then changed my fixed rate to a variable rate and then raised the interest rate|. Again I had not over charged, made a late payment or any other behavior that would cause this change|. The answer that I received was "change in policy".
I cut up the card and paid off the balance in preparation of cancelling this card.
Recently I was preparing to refinance my home; I was going over my credit report and noticed that this account was still active. I also received a new credit card from the “upgrading” my card to Blueprint. Since I did not want to affect my credit score at this time I called them to activate the card, and mistakenly asked them to drop my credit limit for 40K to 20K. Although this was my mistake, I did not realize at the time that asking for the drop would increase my credit utilization; the customer support at Chase did not bother to enlighten me. Within a couple of days, a called Chase back to have them revert my credit limit to the previous limit which they refused without a credit check. Again countless email and phones calls to I believe at this point every single rep at Chase, (I was continuously pushed from individual to individual) they still would not rescind my request. At this point I approved the credit pull which they now not only refused my return my credit limit they also reported to the credit company that they have refused me credit.
This company’s fraudulent policies are appalling and if this was any other business I would have promptly cancelled my service at the first issue. But since our credit score are so integral to our financial lives I have tried over and over to work with this company to no avail. I will now take the additional hit and close this account and I will never again deal with this company. I would also like to add that every single other of my credit cards raised my limit to compensate for Chase, so their refusal was not due to my credit score which was excellent.

Written by JPC on July 3, 2010 from reston, virginia, US After 1 payment being 4 days late, my interest rate went up to a discusting 31.99%.after paying $2,000 on a $3,500 credit line to get the principal down,Chase dropped my credit limit to $2000 .In the last bill recieved , in which the balance should of been $1,500, I noticed I was charged interest on the original $3.500 and not the new balance, after calling and on hold for 35 minutes( and listening to how they appreciate my buisness and I'm a valued customer)the customer rep failed to resolve my dispute(along with they're supervisor)being told that "it's in the contract" that they seem to change when deemed fit!Customers are really Victoms!!!!! |
| 2. Written by Chase cut my credit never late on June 24, 2010 from phoenix, arizona, US Chase did two nasty things to me. They took over 28 days to honor one of the low interest checks and dinged me once a few years ago . I paid off to $.0 as soon as I realized they were cheaters on those checks. They cut my credit in half after the Obama inputs. I never late paid or failed on any contract. It is just evil to mess with your credit score (which should be abolished ) by a bank. I cut up the cards and can say I would not go back for anything to Chase. |
